This body of work represents the best output of my years of working with Pov-Ray. If instead of listing the different developmental phases of these images I had only included when they were all completed, it might lead people to think that I could produce all of this material in a very short time. The initial phase of my images involves the exploration of an idea that either comes from my imagination, is found in a book or on the web, or is inspired by the natural world. The intermediate phase often involves a rearrangement or solution of that initial product. The final phase is where I make the image presentable by working on textures, material properties, and lighting, and improving the composition through the use of interesting camera angles and positions. This is the way things have worked so far, mainly because they represent the different phases of the development of my skills. First, I discovered the program and began exploring various ideas. Then, as my knowledge of programming increased, I was able to refine earlier scenes and tackle concepts I couldn't touch before. Now that I have explored and mastered many of the features of the new version of Pov-Ray, I have been able to add the finishing touches to a great number of my scenes. Also note that many of the images have had contrast and sometimes color adjusted using image editing software. This makes them look nicer on the small resolution required by this viewing environment. I have included the source code for most of the images so that you can learn from my work, and even try rendering them yourself if you wish.
