Ghost Dog

I was doing some photography at dusk yesterday with a long exposure on an ultrapod mount, when my dog decided to walk over. It created a ghostly effect. I love how the gold of her fur blends with the gold light on the pavement, and the gold is balanced by the blue of the snow and sky. Posted by Picasa

This is good! Have you tried intentionally taking photos like this?

Thanks! I have experimented with similar techniques, such as using a 4 second exposure combined with a flash at the end. I did those while I was walking, so it had a different kind of feel to it. Streetlights and taillights streak and create cool patterns. This kind, since only one element has motion, creates a more surreal effect.

Your nose bleed photo is scary.
Recently I have been over exposed to visuals like that.

My classmate also had a nose bleed during lecture today...was it the weather I wonder.
